Director's Note

Twenty-five years ago, AMMUN was a question. Today, it is an answer — and this year, that answer is more important than ever.

The Amman Baccalaureate School has been hosting AMMUN since 2002 — and I have had the honour of watching it grow from a proud local tradition into Jordan’s largest and most respected THIMUN-affiliated conference. What has never changed, across all 25 editions, is the quality of the students who give their time, their passion, and their intellectual commitment to making this conference what it is.

AMMUN XXV — Moderating Morality — arrives at a moment when the question of who defines what is right, and whether those standards are applied equally to all, could not be more urgent. We have chosen a theme that does not offer easy answers. We have chosen it precisely because the most important conversations never do.

We are honoured to host this conference under the gracious patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan, and we very much look forward to welcoming you to the AMMUN experience in Amman in November 2026.
